Hello, nice to meet you

Chris Arvizu

Christopher Arvizu is a licensed contractor and the founder of The Workshop Co., established in 2012. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a well-respected construction and design studio specializing in residential and commercial real estate. Known for its thoughtful approach and attention to detail, The Workshop Co. has built a strong reputation across Southern California for delivering projects that balance quality, function, and design.

Based out of a studio in La Verne, California, Chris leads a team serving clients throughout the region. His work includes partnerships with colleges as well as the renovation of office spaces, professional salons, and other commercial and residential environments. Each project is approached with a focus on collaboration, ensuring that client vision, design intent, and execution align from start to finish.

Chris’s perspective is shaped by both hands-on experience and creative influence. He attended Berklee College of Music, where his passion for music and art developed and eventually led him into custom guitar design and fabrication. That work became a natural transition into millwork and fine woodworking. Combined with his early experience working alongside his father on cars and building projects, it laid the foundation for his craftsmanship and problem-solving approach.

Influenced by global travel and a deep appreciation for culture, music, and art, Chris brings a balanced perspective to his work. He approaches each project with a blend of imaginative design and practical collaboration, creating spaces that are not only well-built but purposeful. His goal is to build environments that invite people to connect, function comfortably, and live fully.

Additionally, he has performed structural engineering design on hundreds of residential remodels and new homes throughout the West Coast.

Robert attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and holds a professional civil engineer’s license. His expertise is the built environment, with specialty structural and building envelope knowledge.

Cycling and California native gardens are Robert’s passions, and his superpower lies in understanding that life demands constant evaluation and the willingness to think creatively to rise up to meet challenges.
